Welcome to 21SIG. My name is Mihail Pana, and I’m the founder of this company. For over 15 years, I’ve been building and securing the digital backbones of organizations, from small businesses to large-scale military networks.

My career began in network engineering, where I spent more than a decade as a Cisco Network Engineer. This hands-on experience gave me a deep, foundational understanding of how networks are designed, how they function, and, most importantly, where they are vulnerable. I’ve designed and maintained complex infrastructures for over 10,000 nodes, achieving 100% security compliance and mentoring other engineers. This background isn’t just a part of my past—it’s the core of my approach today. I don’t just see a server or a router; I see the entire network of connections and potential attack vectors around it.

In the last few years, I’ve transitioned my focus to cybersecurity, applying my network expertise to the offensive and defensive sides of the field. As a Cyber Threat Analyst, I’ve honed my skills in threat hunting and incident response, leveraging the MITRE ATT&CK framework to find and neutralize threats. I hold certifications like CEH and CASP+, and I’m actively pursuing my OSCP to stay at the forefront of offensive security. Outside of work, I publish penetration testing walkthroughs to share knowledge and help others on their cybersecurity journey. 

At 21SIG, I combine this dual expertise—the architect’s eye of a network engineer and the proactive mindset of a threat hunter—to provide focused, effective cybersecurity services. My mission is simple: to give small and mid-sized businesses access to the same level of security and insight that I’ve provided to large organizations, scaled to your needs with no-nonsense solutions.
